Ok so, I'm not sure if I should post it here but I just wanted to ask you all if any of you know why is the place you're born important in astrology? I mean why do they ask the city and country you're born? What's the difference of someone who's born in the USA at the same day and time from someone who's born in the UK? Thanks if anyone can answer and I'm sorry if I'm posting it in the wrong topic, I'm new here!

Yes, it's very important. The stars are different depending on where we are born (because of the lattitude). That, and where the planets were can also be different - someone born in the UK at a certain time may see the Sun rising in Leo while the Moon is in the 12th House. At the same exact instant, someone born in, say, California would see the Sun in the 4th House while the Moon is in the 3rd, and Aries on the Horizon. When constructing a chart, the astrologer (or program) converts local time to universal (Standard, Greenwich time)to calculate the planetary positions relative to Earth (planets in signs). Then, the time is re-converted to local time (depending on where you were born) to calculate the planetary positions relative to the location (planets in House). The Location also effects Houses, as the Zodiacal Belt (which "hovers" over the Earth's Ecliptic) appears higher/lower on the horizon depending on how far North or South you go. I explained that further here.
