I've been always curious about the 12th house since that's where a good chunk of my personal planets lay. But I've always read awful things about it like depression and being alone and stuff like that. I rarely see good things about it. But I think I may have found something that's a little more positive:
I feel like that "working out what's buried within you" speaks to me a lot because when I was first started to get into astrology in like around elementary school, I didn't read all those Aries horoscopes for fun; I read them because I wanted to understand more about myself. I think this is why I kept going back to astrology (and eventually branched off into psychology). I didn't want to necessarily know who I was more so than I wanted to know what I was if that makes sense.
I feel like I know who I am, but the what or the why is something I still want to know.

I have my Mars in the Twelfth House - I think that's why I am so passionate about psychology, and intuiting people, and also why a lot of my energy is inward.

Yeah. Usually Scorpio and Pluto tend to be the places where we like to investigate and learn about psychology and the occult and the like, but I think the 12th house is a more toned down version of both and acts more on a subconscious level to everything that we do. I mean Pisces rules that house and it is a mutable water sign (as opposed to a fixed water sign) so I think that may be why.
I also think that planets in this house sort of act like Retrograde planets because the energy is turned inward and doesn't necessarily manifest normally. Sometimes Retrograde planets are seen as Karmic and since the 12th house is considered the house of Karma (and Saturn typically as the planet), I think this connection makes sense.
Your passion for psychology (and I would even say astrology) is definitely connected to your Mars being in the 12th house.

Mars in the 12 th house can create troubles in the married life of the native. The marriage too can get delayed.
