I am an earth tiger, the tiger part makes sense to me (an Aqua sun, Sag rising, not much earth in my western chart at all)but the earth part? Seems a little less accurate. My Chinese ascendant is a snake, which I actually kinda resonate with. What is the snake's western astrology equivalent?

The Chinese elements are not the same as the Western elements, so maybe that explains some things?

I had a lot of luck with my Chinese zodiac sign! I am a rooster and by element Water which is my most favourite out of the four! But it gets even better: the tumblrpage from astraltwelve has this sector where the chinese and the western zodiac signs combined and what is it with my two signs? (leo and rooster): A peacock! a f*cking peacock and now guess what my favourite animal is!? =D

that reminds me of libra and taurus!
I think I'm a wooden pig? and if pig is scorpio then I'd be scorpio + libra which is totally me. My father works with chinese astrology, actually, but I've never asked him about it. I will do that and post what he tells me!

Earth Tiger here... I do identify with the Tiger description, when I first read it I thought 'Aries' but I do feel a connection with it, and "a living symbol of success and good luck" sounds promising! I do have a big sense of justice, that's also associated with Aries, and the Tiger's equivalent Aquarius (my sun) as well...
The description of Earth makes me think of Fixed signs. "Happiest when life is being cultivated wisely" is like how Fixed signs are focused on the future, long term results instead of immediate action in response to crises. "Stable, safe, secure, erotic, hidden" sounds like Scorpio and Taurus stuff to me.
Chinese Water and Western Water are pretty much the same haha and Fire as well. I guess what people think of when they see water and fire is the same all over the globe.

Bazi, or chinese astrology, is not only about your monthly sign. The most determining factor in your chinese astrology natal chart, or the four pillars chart, is your Day Master, the upper column of the day pillar, also known as Day Column's Heavenly Stem. I am a Water Pig in month column, Gui Hai, and being born in the winter season (ox, rat or pig month), it makes my Ren Yang Water Day Master very strong. The stronger your Day Master, the more lonely you will usually be in life. You may be surrounded by people, but have a much harder time to connect with people.
There are books out there about this, but it may be hard to find much of this info free on the web, sadly. Chinese astrology is much more than your monthly earthly branch, just like western astrology is much more than your sun sign.

Also use a calculator like www.chineseastrologyonline.com/ChineseAstrology.htmwww.traditionalfengshui.co.za/fourpillarssoftware.htmThe 12 chinese zodiac signs have hidden stems, which means they consist of different types of elements used in heavenly stems (wood, fire, earth, metal, water). And yin and yang polarity of the elements matters. You need to know relationships between elements and what they mean. Water -> Wood -> Fire -> Earth -> Metal is productive cycle, means the source strengthens the product, Water strengthens Wood and so on. It means it brings energy to them. Water -> Fire -> Metal -> Wood -> Earth is controlling cycle, means it somewhat quiets down the target element as well as gives it direction, a "kind restriction". The source element of both cycles will always lose energy, because it uses it in the action. The core idea is to have all elements in balance, because elements describe Chi flow, life energy flow. The elements have correspondences in emotions, foods, on thought level, in jobs, in physical level, in chakras... And I'm just scratching the surface here.
