I was reading a book where the primary focus is on learning how to interpret the natal chart through using the astrological alphabet, invented by Zipporah Dobyns. I think that the system is a good way for beginner/intermediate students like me who find it difficult to piece all the information together. Looking for reoccurring themes simplifies the process, I believe. But I'm wondering if the whole astrological alphabet is really effective, in general, and if many people use it?

I myself have never heard of it, but it certainly sounds interesting in terms of remembering and learning things to do with Astrology. As for its effectiveness, I think that's down to personal preference. For example, I have learned about Astrology by reading books and posts on the internet mainly. How I have done so, I would say is just connecting the dots between certain aspects and patterns e.g. when I think of Venus, I don't just think of love, I think of ways to express affection, the kinds of friendship you can have with people, even how you approach female people in life. But that's my way of learning, so I can only suggest that you keep reading around, maybe keep using the Astrological Alphabet and other methods and see how much you learn from them, in comparison to one another Hope that helps and welcome to the Forum!

Thanks for the answer, xXxCometxXx! And to be honest, I created an account in 2014 and haven't visited much after I got busier ^^; It definitely seems not as active as before. I hope that there can be more discussions/activity going on, now that it's summer!
